Jack Rudy Cocktail Co.
Jack Rudy Cocktail Co. is a family run company based in Charleston, SC and Lexington, KY and founded by cousins Brooks Rietz and Taylor Huber. Named after their adventure seeking and bar loving great grandfather Jack Rudy, their goal is to reinvent long forgotten staples of the American bar. With a passion for making cocktails with all natural ingredients, the team sourced quinine and herbs to come up with a delicate, all natural version of tonic missing in the market today. The line continues to grow as they
add more products to their specialized line such as the recently introduced Grenadine and Bitters. Their products are crafted in the United States in small batches and distributed carefully across the world to finer bottle shops, bars, restaurants and general fans of a delicious drink.

So hard to choose just one. I love the work of Julien Schnabel, and how he’s managed to work in so many different mediums to such great effect.

This changes so often. Lately, it’s been cookbooks and design books. The one on heavy rotation right this moment is “Commune,” a retrospective of the California based design firm of the same name. As far as all time favorites go, any collection of Raymond Carver stories will do.
My go-to is a simple minted pea puree, which is always a hit. That being said, I’m drawn to any bright, healthful and wholesome recipe that makes me feel good and energized. The cookbooks of Yottam Ottolenghi are a favorite in our house, as well as the new cookbook from the duo behind The Fat Radish.

I just discovered the work of Tsegue Maryam Guebrou – she was an Ethiopian nun celebrated for her piano playing. Her work is beautiful, haunting, spare and powerful.
