Peterman’s Boards & Bowls
Gill, MA

Spencer Peterman has been turning bowls for over 15 years after starting as a basket weaver of Nantucket baskets. Upon visiting several bowl companies in Vermont, he began designing his own unique lathe that would allow him to produce a more natural and rugged shaped bowl. He also saw that there were many local trees being chipped up or cut for firewood and sought to turn these discarded logs into something more useful and beautiful. Today almost all the wood comes from fallen trees in Western Massachusetts including Maple, Cherry and Black Walnut.
