Sailor Craft Knots
Keith Hudson began tying nautical knots in 1985 while working on off-shore rigs in Alaska. In order to occupy the long hours alone on fire watch, Keith first taught himself the Monkeys Fist and assorted Turks Heads and from there began a passionate exploration of the endless sailor knot combinations and useful applications. Keith now uses his immense knowledge and talents to create everything from spliced dog leashes to Monkeys Fist doorstops, ocean plant mats and bell pulls. Each creation is handmade and uses reclaimed natural and nylon marine rope.
Keith is a member of the International Guild of Knot Tyers and sells a myriad of knots at the Charleston, South Carolina Farmers Market
